So about two weeks ago I went to Denver to go to a concert. Well that concert was cancelled about 4 hours prior to when the band should have gone on stage live. Yep... it really happened. Regardless it was still a fun trip. I think I fell in love with Denver! My advice for everyone is to go if you haven't been there before. Here are just a few of the pictures from the trip.

PURSES and LOVE

I LOVE PURSES, they are my best friend. They wont reject me because I am too big or to fat to fit in them.(curse the jeans) They enhance your beauty no matter what your size may be!! I think every girl should splurge on a nice purse because no matter how your life is going up or down out and around, a good purse ALWAYS fits!

AYS

About a month ago I started to work for this AMAZING organization called AYS and I want all everyone to know about and those that are able to participate to have that amazing opportunity!!
Alliance for Youth Service (AYS) is a non-profit organization offering humanitarian expeditions to hundreds of youth each summer. AYS aims to provide international service opportunities to LDS youth ages 16-19. During the summer of 2010, with 15 trips and more than 200 participants from all over the United States and Canada AYS will travel to countries including Fiji, Peru, and Tonga to engage in improving 3rd world conditions.
At AYS we believe that service draws us closer to Christ. Ther is great need for service in the world, and there are many LDS youth who want to fill that need. Our missionis to provide serciec opportuniteis for youth where they can be of assistance to out less-fortunate brothers and sisters and grow in their testimonies of the Gospel in an atmosphere that is safe, fun, and conducive to the standard of the LDS Church.
To donate or for more information about AYS and registration for 2010 trips go to http://www.ays.org/

Two Worlds

Today at work I came across this picture that just kept tugging at my heart strings. It made made me think of my niece Allie who is about the same age as this girl little girl living in Brazil. Here are these little girls that at the same age are living and experiencing completely different things. Two different worlds. What struck me the most is something my co-worker said to me, "This little girl is very much on her own." She has no parents that look after her, and no consistent roof over her head. This absolutely breaks my heart. For me even at my age I have my parents roof to live under, how grateful I am for all that I have.
